Shift to Instagram

Due to the blog largely being me sharing pictures of my models, I am going to point to my Instagram as where I primarily share my on-going efforts.

I may return here at some future date.

Holidays

No pictures today of the completed Imperial Ground Assets.  Overall, my experiment with Contrast over a Grey Seer base was fairly successful.  I did end up giving the green a pair of washes, first green and then earthshade.  Due to the holiday week, I am busy being with other people and participating in holiday "festivities" as appropriate/desired.  Next week may be more of "my week," but we will see how that goes.

Happy belated Solstice (21 Dec) to all.

Slow Progress - Distracted

Sorry, no pictures after two weeks.  I have been lazy/distracted by things other than miniatures the past two weeks.  A lack of excitement on the parts of others and video games has sapped motivation from me.  Hopefully some progress to report next week.

More Assassinorum & New White Dwarf

I have really slowed down on painting and modelling over the summer for a variety of reasons.  I am trying to get inspired to spend some solid time painting something in the next few weeks.

Over this past weekend, I hung out with friends (4 total) and built a buddy's copy of Assassinorum: Execution Force as well as played 3 games of it.  The first game was a success, using the standard rules.  The second ended in a hard failure, as we attempted to get to succeed with the Cultist going "On Alert" as we entered rooms.  The third game was just 2 of us and we succeed using the Culexus and Callidus.

I also picked up a copy of the new version of White Dwarf.  I like the return to the thick format and the extensive multi-page discussion of all aspects of the hobby.  It was well worth it for 20-pages of additions to the various boxed games that Games-Workshop has released .  I hope the next issue will be equally as good.

We also spent a night out in Bryce Canyon.

Purpose!

Unintended reader, you have happened upon a blog about modelling, painting, and playing miniature wargames.  The writers of the blog entries are also the expected audience for each entry.

The original idea for the blog came from a discussion either between my brother, my wife, and I or between a friend and I.  We wanted a means to share and encourage each other to model and paint the myriad of models we own.   Hopefully, between the initial set of hobbyist, we can manage ~3-4 post a week!

This will hopefully be one of the few post without any pictures.  Now, get to modelling, painting, playing.
