Not a model but this is related to a current project. So I thought you might be interested in my first attempt at green stuff bases. It all started because I found myself with a set of bases, like the one to the right, intended for models that where not on a stand designed to fit in the slot. I am really irked when I see finished models with what can only be described as an unnatural hole at their feet.
Far-Flung Hobbyist's original intent was to be a blog in which a group of friends share progression on their various miniature wargame projects. It is mostly just Rob posting his hobby efforts weekly.

Once those are done I'll be in full swing with the Iyanden Eldar list, whose first (of 2) wraithknights is built and will be the test bed for the paint scheme. I also have the seer for the list to test colors on.
We'll see where I go from there. Maybe the 2k Brets I've had assembled and unpainted for 3 years now. To sum up here are the lists that fall into current ops in North Carolina.
Craftworld Eldar: Alaitoc & the Five Hexes
For the past several months, my wife and I have been working on a Craftworld Eldar army. After reading the Eldar background, my wife decided upon Alaitoc as the army's Craftworld. With the heavy ranger emphasis and the background's discussion of the importance of the Path to Alaitoc as a starting point, the list started to form.

Purpose!
Unintended reader, you have happened upon a blog about modelling, painting, and playing miniature wargames. The writers of the blog entries are also the expected audience for each entry.
The original idea for the blog came from a discussion either between my brother, my wife, and I or between a friend and I. We wanted a means to share and encourage each other to model and paint the myriad of models we own. Hopefully, between the initial set of hobbyist, we can manage ~3-4 post a week!
This will hopefully be one of the few post without any pictures. Now, get to modelling, painting, playing.
